Blythe is a native of Paso Robles, CA and began her dance training at Class Act Dance Studio in 2002. She later attended UC Berkeley, earning a bachelor’s degree in Comparative Literature with an emphasis on Spanish in 2015. During her time in university Blythe attended summer intensives at LINES, Hubbard Street, and SF Conservatory of Dance while dancing professionally with Bay Area companies such as Danse Lumiere, No Strings Attached, Unfinished People, and Piano Fight. Blythe spent the entire year of 2017 traveling while working online as an English teacher. In this time, she studied dance in Berlin at the b12 Festival, Tel Aviv at Suzanne Dellal Centre, and Vienna at ImPuLsTanz Festival—among other places.
Upon returning to her hometown, Blythe began working in early intervention with Mariposas Project as a bilingual Child Development Specialist. During that time she earned over 18 units in Early Childhood Development at her local community college and received her certification to teach the Intellidance® method. Blythe recently left her job as a Child Development Specialist so she could teach dance full-time, using the Intellidance® method as her primary guide. She is thrilled to be bringing this brilliant teaching method to her hometown and looks forward to dedicating her time to nuturing young artists.
