Chantel Sampson

When you dance, your purpose is not to get to a certain place on the floor. It’s to enjoy each step along the way. ~Wayne Dyer

Tessa Hornbeck

Tessa may be new to the J'Adore family, but she is not new to teaching or dance. A graduate from the University of Alberta Education program, she was an elementary school teacher for seven years and dancer for many more.

Receiving her Bachelor of Education degree with distinction in Elementary Education in 1999, Tessa was excited to add Intellidance® certification to her repertoire.

Even though she’s taken breaks from dancing to commit to other pursuits, she has always come back to dance.  A background in dance was the perfect starting point for other physical endeavors where flexibility, body awareness and core strength were important components. Now, back dancing as an adult, Tessa relishes the opportunity to tap into her creativity and cultivate friendships in the dance world.

“You are my Sunshine” was the first song and dance Tessa performed on stage at the age of five. Years later, she’s still singing and dancing, only this time she is dancing back-up to her two little girls at home.
